Hello again everyone,
So I was able to install the modchip for the PS2 version 7 SCPH 39001. I am wondering if I installed it incorrectly or the chip was incorrectly placed.
If anyone has a picture of where to place the chip and the best wire routes your help would be greatly appreciated.
I have tried using originals, memorex backups to no avail either the RSOD or a dark screen saying 'Disk Read Error'.
I recently purchased a replacement laser on eBay and was wondering if anyone knows where the anti-static protection points are for the laser HD7.

i also have a bunch of modbo 4 chips i bought from ***********.com.
Yesterday, I successfully installed my chip into my mobo using a diagram from:

booted it up, and it didnt work, so i looked over the traces again, and found i accidentally switched two, so fixed it and put it back together again. This time it booted and plays originals fine, and even shows the matrix infinity logo below the PS2 logo. BUT it does NOT play backups.
I tried several mediums(verbatim LS, playo DL DVD, Imation DVD-r. memorex DVD+R) and none will boot, they all give me the 'Insert a playstation or playstation 2 format disc' error.
when i try to 'fastboot'(hold select while bootup) a backup, it freezes on the matrix logo on startup.
when i try to disable the modchip(hold start while boot) it boots to a black screen.
anyone have any luck with modbos and the 040-52 motherboards?
anyone suggest anything?

Mount and blade warband blood and iron. IMO it is difectory possible that it is like a new console, which modchips do not support well. You may have read that I run the PS2Ident project.
I suspect that this model might have Modbi GH So if it is possible and if you do not mind helping out here, could you instal,ation check if this fits your console? If it is a J-chassis set, please make a PS2Ident dump for me? You have already mentioned its mainboard model, so that is good. File installation key matlab r2014a crack. Modchips will likely contaminate the dump. Or if you prefer to, taking clear photographs of the mainboard both sides instead, would work great too.

Just ordered a Modbo chip for my ps2, it's a v14 scph with the GH motherboard. I am fairly new to soldering but confident enough to take a stab at the job. I only have a few questions, what size wire do I use i've heard you use larger size for the power part. Second question is how the hell do I solder up these little pin holes. Last edited by jerbar; at Directory. The duo3 ultra is supposed to be good but I have not tried one dirfctory, I have always used Modbo as I have never worried about region free anyhow. So far guys I look on other websites and base on what I see the 1. The real ones are the kind that has the 1.
My chip has the 1. Can anyone tell me what places that sells modbo 4.
Also can anyone else tell me if wire Y dirdctory controls dvd region movies or not? I had ask that before and no one seems to anwser that but they take time to come here lol. Ok so you said in your other post that if I replace the modchip with one thats made from where you guys live. Then my pal dvd movies will work on my NTSC ps2 slim.
